In 2022, the National NGO Coalition joined the CIVICUS Affinity Group of National Associations (AGNA), which brings together 93 national associations, networks, and regional platforms from around the world that represent civil society in their respective countries.

This year, the Coalition is participating in AGNA’s 90-Day Accountability Challenge. The goal of this initiative is to encourage national networks and their members to operate in alignment with the Global Standards for Civil Society Organizations

For this year’s challenge, the Coalition team has chosen to focus on the fifth commitment of the Global Standard, which calls on organizations to ensure meaningful and timely stakeholder engagement at all stages of their work.

The Coalition’s challenge is to ensure that the people it works with and for play a meaningful role in shaping the organization’s activities.

Our team’s task is to develop and implement a feedback mechanism that will help improve performance and enhance the overall impact of the Coalition’s activities.

The results of this project, along with those from associations in other countries, will be presented during the annual Global Accountability Week in October.
